We recently moved back to Cincinnati and wondered where we were going to board our dog Indi when necessary. Luckily we were directed to The Lazy Dawg (www.TheLazyDawg.com). The Lazy Dawg is owned and operated by Troy and Sharon Swearingen. Troy is a former Sheriff’s Deputy in the canine unit. To say they are phenomenal is putting it mildly. We’ve boarded Indi with them twice and not only has she been well taken care of, she also loves it there! I HIGHLY recommend The Lazy Dawg!!!!!!

The Johnson family highly recommends boarding with The Lazy Dawg!!! We were hesitant to board our 2 shepherds because they are young and have never been boarded before. Troy went above and beyond when caring for our 2 dogs! One of our shepherds had a hot spot that got infected and Troy took him to and from our veterinarian without hesitation. (20 miles from the The Lazy Dawg) This facility and owner are top notch!

Our two dogs stayed at The Lazy Dawg on two different occasions in March. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer place for our dogs. The kennels are so nice and clean with plenty of space inside and out. Troy is such a great communicator before bringing the dogs and during their stay. He even provided daily updates and some pictures. I highly recommend The Lazy Dawg. Our pups will definitely be back!

Thank you so much for watching my Bailee girl and my Mom's dog Zoe a couple weeks ago! The drop off process was so easy and I felt so at ease leaving her there. I can’t say thank you enough for taking such good care of Kai. They go above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable during his stay. He is a dog with high anxiety, and they were able to make him relax there. We loved the daily pictures and reports it made it much easier to relax on vacation we will definitely be back.

So finally back from vacation and I told several people I would update them on how my dogs’ second stay at The Lazy Dawg was. I want to make it clear, I do not get anything for saying this and I only met the owners through their business. Now with that being said, I WILL NEVER BOARD MY DOGS ANYWHERE ELSE. These people are amazing!!!! My dog Bo has anxiety, and during the stay they had some dogs that barked and upset him. They gave me updates and medicine (with my consent) to help him cope. They of course did all the amazing things they did last time as in give them extra cuddles, take for walks, pictures with updates and report card at the end. My dogs with out past place weren’t excited to go in and were so happy when I picked them up. We pulled in their driveway and immediately my dogs were going crazy. Again, one can be timid and he ran straight up to Sharon Hurd Swearingen and was greeted with love and kisses. These people will treat you like family, as well as your dogs. Don’t waste time and money, book with this local business and you won’t regret it !!!! That’s all. — at The Lazy Dawg.

The kennel we had used for the previous 20+ years had recently closed and we were nervous about trusting someone new with our fur baby.
The wonderful people at the Lazy Dawg put all of our concerns at ease, we got regular updates and photos of our dog and he came home happy and healthy. We couldn’t be happier with our experience.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Troy and Sharon the owners of The Lazy Dawg. We boarded my two dogs with them last week for a full week. They sent pictures and updated us on them. They gave us report cards on how are dogs did. The drop off was a breeze. I came in and they took the dogs back right away and then they took care of the business side of things. If you’ve ever boarded at other places you know how stressful the drop off can be. The place was clean and they were so nice and laid back. Pricing was awesome also. We are booked again in June and will continue to board with them here on out. Very impressed.

We have never seen Bristol so happy after boarding. They updated us and even sent a picture from her walk. What a great family that treats your dog like their own. Highly recommend!
